Janelle Bowles
WHO AM I?
My name is Janelle Bowles and I am a candidate for the Peoria Unified School Board. I am passionate about working with families, community involvement, and excellence in education. My family and I have resided in the City of Peoria for 22 years and are actively involved within the community. I have been married for 28 years, along with my husband my blessings are, my daughter, son, daughter-in-law, my three wonderful grandchildren and a foster child. Throughout the years our children attended Peoria Unified School District (PUSD). In their endeavors they graduated top of their class, receiving academic, sports, theater, and community scholarships. I am a native of Minnesota and come from a close-knit family of fourteen who are also very involved in education and community systems.
MY EXPERIENCE
I have nineteen years of experience working in the education field, both in the Peoria Unified School District and community education programs. In my nine years working within the Peoria Unified School District (PUSD), I was honored to work with numerous grade K-12 students, parents, teachers, administrators, and special education teams both within and outside of the schools. As a parent, I have volunteered over eleven years within Peoria Unified School District. In some cases, pioneering school clubs, and assisting established teams such as PTA, thespian and football booster clubs, and many others.
I have obtained a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Human Services, and a degree in early childhood teaching. I bring to this position over twenty five years experience working with families within the Arizona community.
